What’s New in Sage 50 Accounts v30.1?

Sage has recently released the latest version of its Sage 50 Accounts offering – v30.1. This update brings a host of exciting new features and improvements designed to streamline your financial management processes and boost your productivity. Sage Copilot 

In Sage 50 Accounts v30.1 you’ll notice Sage’s new Ai features start to roll out. Sage Copilot is your personal productivity assistant working non-stop to help you achieve more through smarter, faster decisions. It’s available now to early adopters. 

How can Sage Copilot help you? 

Copilot offers intelligent task and workflow automation to help you work faster. With a dynamic view of performance and rich insights you can also make smarter decisions. Sage Copilot will make recommendations backed by intelligent data analysis, allowing you to focus on things that will move your business forwards.  

Sage Copilot is an AI assistant you can trust, protecting your data and giving you full control over decision-making.  

Upgrade to Sage 50 Accounts v30.1 to start using Sage Copilot. 

 

Improved Data Service Management  

The Sage 50 data service runs on the computer where your data is held and controls the flow of data. It also stores your license information. 

In Sage 50 Accounts V30.1 you can now 

  • Stop and restart the data service from any computer on your network 
  • Clear your licence details held on the server 
  • Delete the queue.dta file to fix some access issues. 

 

Modern Authentication Methods for Email  

In September 2024, Microsoft retired basic authentication for webmail. Sage 50 Accounts v30.1 now supports modern authentication methods via Open Authorisation (OAuth) for Microsoft Accounts. 

Support for Gmail will also be added in a future update. 

 

Coming Soon 

Although not available in version 30.1, Sage has announced that Purchase Automation is coming soon. This will enable users to upload files and invoices from suppliers to automatically create transactions.  

 

Upgrading Sage 50 Accounts  

If you have Sage 50 Accounts with a valid subscription you should have had a notification to update. You can also manually download and install v30.1.
