What’s new in Act! Premium v25.1

Act! has launched it latest offering with version 25.1 available in the UK now.

Building upon the innovations in Act! Premium v25, Act! v25.1 further boosts business effectiveness with more tools to enhance security, gain richer insights, improve communication, and refine overall usability.

Enhanced Security – Act! Premium v25.1 introduces Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to Act! Premium Desktop, provides an additional layer of security to prevent unauthorised account access and helps organisations comply with data protection and privacy regulations.

Richer insights – Act! Premium v25.1 brings the newly introduced Act! Insight advanced dashboard builder to Act! Premium for Web (APfW) and new charting & reporting tools to Act! Custom Tables. These new additions help better visualise data, turning raw information into actionable insights that empower informed decision-making.

Better communication – Act! Premium v25.1 introduces SMS text messaging to Act! Premium for Web (APfW) users with SMS4Act!. Now, users across all Act! Platforms can leverage the affordability and effectiveness of text messages to stay top of mind with prospects and customers.

Refined usability – Act! Premium v25.1 includes several enhancements to improve the user experience, including more efficient workflow with the replacement of popup windows for modals, and visual enhancements that make Act! Companion more intuitive.

Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor authentication or MFA is one of the best tools to prevent cyberattacks and data breaches. It adds an extra layer of security on top of user passwords to prevent unauthorised access. In industries where data protection is paramount, MFA can help Act! users comply with data protection and privacy regulations.

It works by sending users a unique numerical code via text message in addition to their username and password when logging in to Act!

Custom Tables Charting & Trials

Gain richer insights into your Custom Tables data with a new builder and custom reporting tools. Charting gives you the ability to visualise and analyse data in graph or KPI format.

Choose from graph types including column, line, pie, and more. While KPI (Key Performance Indicators) allows you to see your data in pivot table-like detail. Use the Report Designer to create custom reports for data contained within Custom Tables

Trialling Custom Tables

In Act! v25.1 users can now trial Custom Tables for 14 days mid-subscription by selecting ‘Start Trial’ from the Custom Tables menu. Here’s what you’ll get as part of the trial

• A demo “Mortgage” table will be included automatically
• New customer data can be entered during the trial
• At the end of the 14-day trial period, if you choose not to carry on with Custom Tables the functionality is disabled and will disappear from the menu.
• Should you decide to use Custom Tables at a later date, your data will remain and will be available again.

When you upgrade to Act! V25.1 you can easily visualise your data and gain meaningful insights with its Advanced Dashboard Builder.

SMS4Act! Text Messaging

Extend your reach and stay top of mind with SMS4Act!.

SMS4Act! allows users to send ad -hoc text messages without building a fully-fledged marketing campaign in Act! marketing automation. Text messages can be sent for virtually any occasion, personalised, and saved as templates for future use.

Once sent, Act! will record a history record for each text that you send, along with any replies from your contacts too.

Users can sign up for a free 14-day trial of the SMS feature from within their Act! software. Once the trial has begun you can send out a limited number of SMS messages to see how the feature works and decide if it’s something you want to continue using.
