From 30th September 2022, certain versions of Sage 50 Accounts software will stop working
This is due to the discontinuation of the TLS security protocol and affects versions 23.2-26.2
After 30th September 2022, many Sage 50 Accounts users will lose access to their software due to the depreciation of the TLS protocol. If you are one of those affected, you need to upgrade your software before this date.
What is TLS?
TLS is an encryption protocol that encodes and protects Sage data as it moves between different application processes. Sage currently uses it for the Sage Licence Service and AutoUpdate to check that you are using valid Sage software each time you log in.
Will this affect my Sage 50 Accounts software?
If you are using Sage 50 Accounts software between versions 23.2 – 26.2 on a perpetual license you software will be affected by the TLS depreciation.
What should I do?
To continue using your Sage 50 Accounts software you will need to upgrade to a subscription license. For prices and further information give us a call on 0121 323 2304 or fill out the contact form.
