Ecommerce store, Garden Site, goes PaperLess
We recently worked with Garden Site to find a solution to their invoice processing headaches. Due to the growth of the business, the accounting team found that they were spending extra time manually inputting data from paper and electronic invoices into their Sage 50 Accounts software.
David Hall of Garden Site was keen to find a more time-friendly alternative that would also make it easier to search for specific information. Before the introduction of PaperLess, the accounting team were having to manually process and sort through hundreds of invoices. Being a national ecommerce business with orders coming in and out every day – there were a lot of them!
Garden Site LLP contacted Softext as a local Sage Accounts partner to help streamline their accounting processes. We worked with them to understand how they were handling invoices and identified areas and tools that could help them to save time.
Paperless – Accounting the Paperless Way
As Paperless business partners, we knew that this tool would solve Garden Site’s accounting problems and help them to save time and money.
Paperless uses the Company Inbox feature to automatically process invoices received via email. This means that as soon as the email lands in the inbox, Paperless adds it to Garden Site’s Sage Accounting software straight away. Not only does this save time, it also reduces the opportunity for errors and makes it easier to search for information.
Overall, the developers behind the PaperLess software estimate that the savings with the implementation of PaperLess amount to more than 30%. These savings are originated by automating the process of data entry into Sage and the fact that since with PaperLess invoices are automatically attached to Sage, retrieving invoices only takes a few seconds.
